Excellent experience from beginning to end. Conveniently located with good parking. Walking in I was very nicely greeted and instantly helped to find the things I needed. The store was well staffed, neet, clean, organized and labeled with great prices..I got some good stuff from the clearance aisle too. The staff was knowledgeable and friendly. I don't normally shop in the 'man stores' but they had a vacuum cleaner belt that I needed and it was close, I was in Home Depot the night before and when I ask the gentleman where's the vacuum cleaner belt section he said "not my department" I said "thank you I'll find it myself". I would return Ace Hardware, their customer service is unmatched and I dont care for online shopping.
I purchased a 32 ft extension ladder which they had to obtain from their warehouse. I purchased it on a Tuesday. I asked the ace representative at the store whether or not she needed a deposit, and she said no. I then went to pick up the ladder 3 days later and they raise the price by $20! I had to get the store manager who reluctantly agreed to give me the price which I had originally bought the ladder on some 3 days earlier. Then when I was loading this large ladder on my pickup truck at their loading dock, a store representative came over and looked at me frustrated. I said is there some problem I'm loading up my ladder. the store representative said yes there was that they were expecting a delivery. I said fine and I move my truck. I then took another 10 minutes to properly secure the ladder in my pickup truck. And during this entire time no deliveries were ever made. However, they did provide to workers to help me load the truck initially which was a big help. In the end, they honored the price and help me load it all my truck, but I was not very satisfied with the level of service especially rushing me to load up my ladder which I paid $300 for! It is a very nice store and well stocked and perhaps your experience will be different. But if I had a choice, I would probably go to another ace store, or home Depot, or Lowe's. I shop at these stores and I never get these kinds of problems. what could they have done better? The store manager should apologize for raising the price on me and said there's no question we will honor the quoted price. the female clerk at the loading doc should have never rushed me or told me I had to leave before safely securing my ladder for my pickup truck. They need to understand that the customers are first and that when they purchase products they need help in getting them loaded. So I'm being generous by giving them three stars out of five.

Easy in/out, helpful people, well curated, organized selection of stainless fasteners(!), can actually handle the power tools.

I can always find what I need. If I can't, staff is super helpful. On this visit I was steered to a cheaper option.
